Biography

Donna was appointed Collector by Governor Christopher Bond and has been elected to office six times.

Professional affiliations include Missouri County Collectors’ Association where she was the first woman to serve as President in 1990, and is currently serving on the State Legislative Board. She just completed her fourth term as a District 3 Director of the Missouri Association of Counties. She is an active member of the National Association of County Officials and is a member of the National Association of Treasurers and Finance Officers.

Donna has been active in civic and community affairs since moving to Platte County in 1962. She is married to Karlton Nash, owner of Nash Gas & Appliance, Inc. They have two sons and three granddaughters. They reside in rural Platte County outside Dearborn.

Collector’s Office

  • In 2005, the office collected $150 million for 79 taxing districts.
  • First office in Missouri to allow taxpayers to pay by credit card.
  • In 2003, gave taxpayers the option of paying their taxes online.
  • In 1998, opened an office in Platte Woods to accommodate taxpayers in the southern part of the County.
  • In 2004, partnered with the Missouri Department of Revenue to allow citizens the option of obtaining their vehicle licenses online.
