 Lisa Pope
Platte County Assessor
Lisa Pope was elected to the office of Platte
County Assessor in November of 2004. Ms. Pope has worked in the Platte
County Assessor's office for a total of 24 years: 1975 to 1980. She
remained in the office from 1989 until the present time. Lisa is a
graduate of Park Hill High School, and she remains very active in
community affairs. She believes this is a vital means for repaying the
community that has invested so much in her.
Lisa Pope's professional affiliations
include the Missouri State Association of Assessors, International
Association of Assessing Officers, North Central Assessors Association,
National Association of Counties, and Missouri Association of Counties.
In addition to these multi-faceted associations, she is a member of the
Platte County Pachyderm Club, Platte Republican Association, National
Federation of Republican Women, and the Platte County Women's Exchange.
Since her election in 2004, Pope has been
instrumental in implementing following action steps in the Assessor's
office. These items make information more accessible to residents and
citizens of Platte County:
- Internet access to public records combined with our county
offices of Recorder, Collector, Information Technology and Public
Works without charge.
- Upgrading computer services for the Assessor's office.
- Helping with the opening the new location for the Southern
Platte County Annex.
- Upgrading to GIS system with new aerial maps.
- First-time document scanning/imaging of all real estate and
personal property records kept at the Assessor's office.
- Provision of off-site underground storage for both real estate
and personal property records kept by the Assessor's office.
- Teaming with the County Clerk’s office to reinstate Platte
County Plat Book.
- Streamlining personal property by auto assessing into computer.
- Working towards filing personal property assessments online.
